A homeless man is to be evicted from a bus shelter after living rough in his makeshift home for two months.
Jonathan Hughes has been sleeping in a shelter at Rhos Point, in Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales. The council has confirmed it has served the 48-year-old with a letter saying it wants to get an eviction notice to force him out.
“I’ve been here for two months, I ended up here after being evicted from my flat. People have been very kind have given me a pound here and there, and food. I rely on donations. I have asked for bin bags, but the bin lorries just drive past.”
Diane Slater, who was in the children’s park with her daughter and granddaughter, owns a bed and breakfast in Colwyn Bay, and believes more should be done to help Mr Hughes.
“We came yesterday and you could tell the man was in trouble and out of it, he just seemed in a daze.”
